Introduction

Atorvastatin is a statin medication used to lower cholesterol and prevent cardiovascular disease

Indications and Usage of Atastan

Atastan is indicated for:
– Reducing the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and revascularization procedures in adults with multiple risk factors for coronary heart disease
– Lowering low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C) in adults with primary hyperlipidemia and in pediatric patients with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH)
– Reducing LDL-C in adults and pediatric patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH)
– Treating primary dysbetalipoproteinemia and hypertriglyceridemia in adults

Dosage and Administration of Atastan
– The recommended starting dose is 10-20 mg once daily, with a dosage range of 10-80 mg once daily
