Description

Dexoreg 60mg capsules contain

the active ingredient dexlansoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI)

used to reduce stomach acid.

Indications of Dexoreg 60mg Capsules

Dexoreg 60 mg is indicated for patients 12 years and older for the healing and maintenance of erosive esophagitis (EE)

and for heartburn relief associated with EE.

Mechanism of Action of Dexoreg 60mg Capsules

Dexlansoprazole works by inhibiting the final step of gastric acid production by blocking the proton pumps in the stomach.

Dosage and Administration

of Dexoreg 60mg Capsules

The usual dose for healing EE is 60 mg once daily for up to 8 weeks. The capsules should be swallowed whole

but can be taken with or without food. If swallowing is difficult, the capsule contents can be mixed with applesauce

Treatment of symptomatic non-erosive Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)

For treating heartburn associated with GERD without active erosion

a 60mg dose once daily for four weeks is the standard regimen
