Mechanism of action of RE-SPA Tablets

Re-Spa 80mg Tablet acts primarily as a musculotropic antispasmodic by

selectively inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4). This mechanism leads to smooth

muscle relaxation and pain relief without significant anticholinergic side effects

Indications of RE-SPA Tablets

Common indications for Re-Spa 80mg include:
Gastrointestinal Disorders: Relief of spasms associated with gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastritis, enteritis, colitis, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Biliary Tract Disorders: Management of pain caused by gallstones (cholelithiasis), cholecystitis (gallbladder inflammation), and cholangitis.
Urinary Tract Disorders: Alleviation of renal colic pain due to kidney stones (nephrolithiasis), ureter stones, pyelitis, cystitis, and bladder spasms.
Gynecological/Obstetric Conditions: Treatment of menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) and, in a hospital setting under medical supervision, aiding cervical dilation during labor.
Other uses: It may also be used for certain types of headaches associated with spasms and peripheral vascular disorders.
