• Description of ESOROK 40mg IV

  Esorok 40mg is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that specifically inhibits the proton pump of the gastric parietal cell, the final stage of gastric acid secretion. It is administered as a prodrug, activated by sulfatase, an enzyme present in the gut, which transforms esorok into its active form. This activation increases the drug’s lipophilicity, allowing it to cross the cell membrane and bind to the proton pump. Esorok 40mg cap is a potent and efficient inhibitor of the gastric proton pump, H+/K+ ATPase, which leads to a decrease in gastric acidity and increased pH levels. Esorok is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), the healing of erosive esophagitis, treatment of gastric ulcers, in combination with other treatments, Helicobacter pylori infection, and the management of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Although PPIs are commonly used to reduce stomach acid, they should be prescribed and administered with caution.   IV Injection

  Esorok injection is indicated for various conditions, including:

  Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
  1. Treatment of GERD: Esomeprazole injection is indicated for the treatment of GERD in adults and pediatric patients 1 month to 17 years.
  2. Erosive esophagitis: Healing and maintenance of healed erosive esophagitis.

  Peptic Ulcer Disease
  1. Treatment of peptic ulcer disease: Esomeprazole injection is indicated for the treatment of peptic ulcer disease in adults.
  2. Prevention of rebleeding: Prevention of rebleeding in patients with bleeding peptic ulcers.

  Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome
  1. Treatment of Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Esomeprazole injection is indicated for the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome in adults.

  Administration
  Esomeprazole injection should be administered intravenously over 3 minutes, or as an infusion over 30 minutes.

  Dosage of ESOROK 40mg IV 
  1. GERD: 20-40 mg IV once daily
  2. Peptic ulcer disease: 20-40 mg IV once daily
  3. Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: 40 mg IV twice daily
